THIS IS A MUST SEE THIS WEEKEND!!! Be one of the first to check out the newest development from Bigelow Homes. HomeTown - The Reserves opens this weekend (Oct. 6th).

Wait til you see this eco-friendly neighborhood. There are 6 new models to choose from.

Here's a little bit about the new neighborhood located in the award-winning development - HomeTown Aurora.

HomeTown Aurora, one of the most successful and awarded new home communities in the country is pleased to announce the unveiling of its 6 brand new model homes. Not only are these new homes state-of-the-art, but they are being built in a brand new neighborhood within HomeTown Aurora that is already being recognized as one of the most innovative and eco-friendly neighborhoods in the nation. New homes, new setting, and all with the same great community amenities that has made HomeTown a community like none other.

The new neighborhood features eight new plans, six of which are showcased as decorated models, and all are set within the eco-friendly design. Bigelow explains, "There were some ecologically-friendly things we always wanted to incorporate into HomeTown, but ten years ago it was very difficult to get people to understand the importance of what we wanted to do. Now, with most of the country finally beginning to follow suit in the movement towards "Green building", Bigelow can finally do some of the things that were "too ahead of its time" back in the early days of HomeTown.

Most of the new eco-friendly features come in the form of land development. Bigelow hired one of the leading ecologists in the nation to help create a land plan and landscaping plan that would not only help keep rain and other surface water from leaving the community, but more importantly, help filter all surface water before returning back to its ground water source. Two key design elements that will help Bigelow accomplish this goal are the incorporation of bio-swales and rain gardens. Rain gardens also cut back on soil erosion as well as provide a pleasant look and scent to the neighborhood.

With these new homes in this new neighborhood the grand opening is one of the most exciting things to happen in the Chicagoland housing market in a long time. This neighborhood is a glimpse in to a more environmentally friendly future that gives its residents a sustainable community. The combination of innovative and traditional design gives residents everything they could need inside their community. Come and see for yourself what makes HomeTown so special.
